Lesson 6: Letters – خ (Kha), ج (Jeem)

These letters are differentiated by the placement of dots:

  • ح (Ha) – No dot - a deep "h" sound

  • ج (Jeem) – one dot below -  /j/
  • خ (Kha) – one dot above - /kh/ or /j/ in Spanish.

These letters are dual-joining, which means they connect to both the preceding and following letters in a word. Here is each letter in its different forms:
